What we collect
- Your email address, because you gave it at checkout or signed in with Google. If you use Google, we receive your email and a stable account identifier — nothing else, and never your Google password.
- Your purchases and subscription status, so we know what to give you access to.
- How you moved through the site — pages seen, checkout started, purchases — tied to a random identifier stored in a cookie on your device.
We never see or store your card details. Payment happens inside Stripe; your card number goes to them, not to us. We keep an identifier that lets us ask Stripe about your subscription.
Why
- To give you what you paid for and keep your account working.
- To take payment and handle refunds.
- To email you about your account — access, receipts, renewal notices. These are part of the service and are not marketing.
- To understand which parts of the site work. We look at totals, not at individuals.
Who else touches your data
- Stripe — payments and subscriptions.
- Resend — sending email.
- Neon — the database that stores your account.
- Vercel — hosting.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with it.
They process data on our behalf, under contract. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and one holding a random identifier so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers on this site. Clearing your cookies signs you out and resets the identifier.
How long we keep it
Your account for as long as it exists, then up to 24 months, so you can come back and so we can answer questions about a past subscription. Records tied to payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics events are kept for 24 months.
Your rights
Email and we'll action it. You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Depending on where you live you may also be able to object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it. We answer within 30 days. Deleting your account cancels your subscription and you lose access — we'll say so before doing it.
Where your data is
Our providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in, under the safeguards those providers put in place.
Children
is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
